BrisBowl, run and won

T.W.C is proud to present BrisBowl, Brisbane's first 2 day Blood Bowl tournament for a number of years

Congratulation to all winners and players at the first BrisBowl tournament. We had a total of 14 players, with first place going to Chris Stratford, second Iain Fisher and third Nick Ashby.

Everybody was keen to buy raffle tickets for Adam Norris's Neomics Elf team, which was won by Matt Hosking.  Many a jealous player as you can see why.

I would once again like to thank all the players who attended and by all accounts had a great time playing blood bowl and enjoying a few ales at the same time.  Next year is more than likely going to be bigger and better.  So stay tuned for next years pack.

Cheers

Jason

  1. Good news Adam NORRIS a well respected contract painter has supplied a fully painted 11 man NEOMICS elf team for the tournament. Every player will receive a ticket to win this and if need be there will be extra tickets sold over the weekend with money raised going to the Brisbane area blood bowl leagues.

  2. A week to go now and player interest is heating up. It's a shame in many cases it will be people turning up on the day to pay. This makes it harder for the TO to get things organised and I hope that players will understand this.

It is also the same in regards to players expectations. With just over a half a dozen paid players accommodating for extras such as prize support (trophy/ies and prizes) has been interesting to say the least with many players expecting alot but not considering the thought that goes into the event.

I am glad in this respect i have had good sponsors to help with the burden of cost but at this stage we are looking at anywhere between 12 to 20 players and this makes a big difference.

Educating Blood Bowl players who are not used to playing tournaments and just rocking up to self organised league events/seasons is going to be a slow process. But one worth doing I have to say.

    One week to go, yay.
