BrisBowl III 24/25th March 2012

Yes, BrisBowl now into it's third year is moving to March 24/25th 2012.  Not only is it moving time slots but to a new venue.

After the debacle with the previous venue, it was time to move and we are now at the Enoggera Bowls club (72 Pickering St) in Enoggera in Brisbanes Northwest.  It is 100m from Train and Bus stations and plenty of free parking.

How much?  Early bird tickets are $25 until the 24/2/12, after this date tickets are $35.

OZ Super series Warmachine 17th of July at Winter WarFest

A slight change has occurred to the running of the warmachine for the weekend, with TWC happy to announce the round 5 of the Oz Super series being run on the 17th of July.

Ticket price is $30 which includes finger food for lunch.  For full details see HERE

Raffle Team announced

We have confirmed that this years raffle will be the Gaspez Arts Chaos Pact team.  It will also include all three big guys.

As usual it will be painted by Adam Norris who did last years team.

Tickets will be only available at the tournament, $2 for one or $5 for three.  Those unable to attend, will have to start befriending somebody attending the tournament because you'll missing out on a master piece.

Proceeds from the raffle go towards next years prize support.

As soon as I get a model to show it will be up here for all to see.



Winter WarFest 2011 July 16/17th

TWC is once again proud to present:

This year the event will be hosting 40K, Warmachine and Blood Bowl.  It's been run on the 16/17th of July 2011 2010 at the Brook Hotel, Mitchelton in Brisbane's North West. Close to trains, buses and ample parking and other facilities.

This year we've got warmachine with 2 seperate day events.  You can pay for either one day events or both days. It will be at this moment capped at 24 players for each day.

BrisBowl II is back this year at the same time as Winter WarFest.  It is being run by myself and this year I've made it a resurrection and progression tournament.

Winter Warfest, Run and Won

Well the first Winter Warfest has been completed.  It had a few hiccups mainly to do with the venue.  Finding the hotel had double booked for the Saturday meant with a lot of apologising we were moved out into the main bar area of the hotel.

It certainly raised a few eyebrows when the local bar flys started entering.  Even more for the guys was the bikini beer girls which I left as a suprise on the Saturday.  On the Sunday we moved into the main function hall to test sizing for next years event when we expect more players from both games to attend.

Once again the venue caused a few problems, like not opening up early allowing scenery which was being stored to be accessed and the cleaner not cleaning the toilets from the previous nights wedding leaving the acrid smell of chunder upon entering.

All in all the atmosphere was great and with these initial teething problems rectified for next year it seems Winter Warfest will be one of the most sought after tickets.  As organisers are going to cap entrants to 30 each game system for the time being with the possibility of slight increases.

BrisBowl, run and won

T.W.C is proud to present BrisBowl, Brisbane's first 2 day Blood Bowl tournament for a number of years

Congratulation to all winners and players at the first BrisBowl tournament. We had a total of 14 players, with first place going to Chris Stratford, second Iain Fisher and third Nick Ashby.

Everybody was keen to buy raffle tickets for Adam Norris's Neomics Elf team, which was won by Matt Hosking.  Many a jealous player as you can see why.

I would once again like to thank all the players who attended and by all accounts had a great time playing blood bowl and enjoying a few ales at the same time.  Next year is more than likely going to be bigger and better.  So stay tuned for next years pack.
